Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA an Sydney International Aid Organisations is all about people. People working together to make things better for all. As an Sydney International Aid Organisations of the Australian union movement, each and every APHEDA supporter, member, partner, activist and participant here in Australia and all around the world contributes to the work it takes to tackle inequality and injustice. Our Sydney International Aid Organisations program has developed from a rights-based approach. Our Sydney International Aid Organisations work aims to build self-reliance through support to educational and training projects for workers and their organisations.

Fully Qualified International Aid Organisations in Sydney

Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is building a movement of people in Australia to join with movements of people in countries in South East Asia in their efforts to see asbestos banned and eradicated. Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is the Australian union movement’s global justice organisation and everything we do is set in our union values. Unionists are generous and understand the need for us all to chip-in to win what we set out to achieve. If we all chip-in with a monthly contribution we can, collectively, support important work internationally.

Our Sydney International Aid Organisations has over 40 training projects, working through 30 separate project partners in 15 countries, assisting many different communities in Southeast Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, Southern Africa and the Caribbean. Support from our International Aid Organisations projects comes from many individual union members throughout Australia, the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), unions and workplaces, as well as from the Australian government aid agency, DFAT. Our Sydney International Aid Organisations partner organisation Karen News stands with journalists working at Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Australian Financial Review.

Our Sydney International Aid Organisations is building a movement of people in Australia to join with movements of people in countries in South East Asia in their efforts to see asbestos banned and eradicated.
